KO OPENS WITH 63 AT BOCA RIO

BOCA RATON, FLA. Lydia Ko continued take steps toward the top of women’s golf again on Thursday with birdies on half of her holes for a nine-under 63 and a two-shot lead over Danielle Kang in the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. Aditi Ashok (66) was alone in third, followed by a group of players at five-under 67 that included Canadian Maude-Aimee Leblanc. At the PGA’s Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego, Adam Schenk, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas are tied for the lead at 13 under after Round 2.
