YANKEES WORTH $7.1-B, JAYS $2.1-B, FORBES SAYS

The New York Yankees are worth US$7.1-billion, up 18 per cent over a year ago, as Major League Baseball’s most valuable franchise, according to the annual report by Forbes released Thursday. Forbes ranks the Toronto Blue Jays as 14th on the list, with an estimated value of US$2.1billion, up 18 per cent from the previous year.
